It appears that reports of Tuzak’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Ali Acun Ilıcalı, Turkish broadcaster and the owner of TV8 and Turkey’s digital platform Exxen , tweeted the following:
Tuzak dizimizin 13. bölümde final yapacağı haberleri doğru değildir. Dizimiz TV8’de yayınlanmaya devam edecektir. pic.twitter.com/wRjSBtRtKD
— Acun Ilıcalı (@acunilicali) December 7, 2022
The tweet says: “The news that Tuzak will make its finale at episode 13 is not true. The series will continue to be broadcast on TV8.” It is unclear whether the founder and director of ACUNMEDYA, the production company for Tuzak, responded to the fan outcry or whether the story first reported by Turkish entertainment journalist Birsen Altuntas on her Twitter and website had basis in truth to begin with. Regardless of the reason, IIicali’s tweet was greeted with joyous messages celebrating the good news. There were also many requests to move the timing of the series from its newly slotted 10:30 pm time slot back to the original 8 pm time slot.
Earlier in the day, Eylem Canpolat the writer for the series, responded to a despondent fan’s tweet about his/her lack of excitement because the series was ending, “Keep moving ahead. Anything can happen”.
Shortly after the news, Akin Akinozu posted the following picture with the caption “Hope never ends…”:
The series is a departure from traditional Turkish television with its modern plot that portrays strong, yet feminine, compassionate women. Also conspicuously absent in the plot, is the abuse and denigration of women often shown in Turkish dizis. Where there is strong arming of women in the series (most often from Ceren’s father played by Talat Bulut), it is balanced out by a resolute response from the woman in question. The lead female character, Ceren (Bensu Soral), is intelligent and capable without being overbearing and nasty as strong women are often portrayed in shows not only in Turkey, but around the world. Moreover, the blossoming love story between the two lead characters is slow and thoughtful, with intelligent and realistic dialogue. The lead male character Umut (played by Akinozu) is intelligent and compassionate with a healthy respect for the women in his life. The series is also unusual in its tight story telling and lack of unrelated characters and plot lines.
It is unclear how long the series will continue, or whether it has a set finale date as of yet, but IMDB has 20 episodes listed for season 1 with the 20th episode set to be released on March 1, 2023.
UPDATED: Beginning December 22, Tuzak will air at 8 pm Turkey time on Thursdays on TV8.

Akin, is one of the best Male actors today and he will have the following. I will admit that in the begining it was great and then lost me a little and now much better. Thank you for clarifying this.
Tuzak is an excellent series. The storyline is intriguing, captures your attention and keeps you wanting more. The acting is superb by all. I am only disappointed in the fact that it is not being watched by more people. It would be great if Netflix picked it up.
